Welcome! ....My Name is Brian Fisk and I live in
Landford, Wiltshire, England
- I am a Software Engineer and enjoy Music, Birdwatching, Croquet, Photography, Sport, Computing, and Family History.
- Birdwatching: I am a member of the RSPB:.
(I used to be the leader of the local RSPB group in Winchester, Hampshire.) I still lead the occasional birdwatching walk and give illustrated slide talks on birds.
- Family
History: I belong to the Suffolk Family History
Society. I am the list owner for the Middlesex
County (UK) Family History mailing list (courtesy of RootsWeb)
- One of my favourite tipples is Scotch single malt whisky. I am a member of
the Scotch Malt Whisky Society which
bottles single malt whiskies at cask strength.
- Computing: I have an MSc
in Software Engineering at Oxford
University and am a member of (Linacre
College) I still find time to write the odd program or edit my many web pages
- Croquet: I am a keen croquet player (current handicap is 0.5) - I am a member of 3 clubs, Littleton, Hamptworth
and Cheltenham.
I am currently ranked in the top 300 in the world.
I am a council member of the Croquet Association - the governing body of the
sport in England and am chairman of its coaching committee.
I am also the organiser for the Hampshire Croquet Team
- Sport: I have played many sports in the past - apart from croquet I watch more than play.
I enjoy both cricket and rugby union. I still occasionally play badminton.
